Rs 15 Crores sanctioned for Bonalu


Bonalu, one of the major festivals of Telangana has got a huge boost all thanks to the state government. Like every year, this year the state Government released Rs 15 crore for the arrangements to be made for Bonalu Festival. Mr.Srinivas Yadav, Honorable Minister of Animal Husbandry confirmed this news to the media. Home Minister Mohammed Ali and Srinivas Yadav have been handled the responsibility of overseeing the arrangements. 

This year,  Golkonda Bonalu falls on July 4 followed by the Secunderabad (July 21) and Old City Bonalu (July 28.). Grand arrangements are being made by GHMC in order to undertake different preparations related to Bonalu Festival like road repairs, temple lightings, sanitation, etc., Hyderabad Metro Water Works will take the responsibility to distribute 3 lakh water packets for the devotees during Bonalu procession. A Indrakaran Reddy said that on behalf of state government Pattu Vastramulu (silk clothes) would be presented to 26 different temples.
