YSRCP who is not happy with the investigations in the knife attack met Governor ESL Narasimhan on Thursday asking for a private agency to investigate in the attack.
The leaders of the YSRCP had claimed that they had no faith in the investigations carried out by the police of AP and they want an independent probe into the attack at the Vizag airport.
A man who was working as a waiter in a restaurant at the airport whose name was Srinivas had attacked YS Jagan at the airport while claiming to be his fan and asked for a selfie.
Soon after the attack, Andhra Pradesh DGP RP Thakur responded saying that the attacker was a fan and attacked him for publicity. However, Jagan was adamant of a CBI probe into the attack and wrote to Rajnath Singh.
In the letter written to Rajnath Singh, he said that the investigation was carried out in a predetermined manner and the police have arrived at a premature conclusion without proper investigation.
He also pointed out how the DGP's press conference was held within an hour of the attack. The YSRCP has dared the chief minister to hand the probe to the CBI.
