In a first step to become CM of Andhra Pradesh after the results are out, Jaganmohan Reddy was elected as leader of YSRC legislature party on Saturday,
At 10.30 am YSRCLP met in Jagan's home in Tadepalli near Vijayawada. As soon as the meeting started its agenda of electing its leader came up. MLA from Chipurupally Botsa Satyanarayana proposed Jagan's name as the leader of YSRCLP. Dharmana Prasada Rao, Rajanna Dora and Buggana Rajendranath Reddy seconded the proposal and the meeting unanimously elected him as the leader of YSRCLP.
Jagan addressed the MLAs after his election and prompted them to work at the level that the whole country watches AP's performance with awe. He reiterated the 'benevolent Chief Minister' term again and said that within six months to one year, he will try to get that name from the people. He told the MLAs that his government should work in a way that would be ideal to other states in the country.
After the completion of the meeting, Dharmana Prasada Rao and Buggana Rajendranath Reddy left for Hyderabad to meet Governor Narasimhan to submit the letter about the election of its leader by YSRCLP. Jagan may reach Hyderabad on Monday to meet the governor to stake his claim as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
