Accusing Chandrababu Naidu of using the state facilities for the party purpose, YSRCP's General Secretary and MP Vijaysai Reddy wrote a letter to to the Election Commission.
"It is learnt from the media that the Chief Minister has called for a meeting of party MLAs at Prajavedika, a state government facility, despite the model code of conduct (MCC) still being in force", said the letter.
Reddy pointed out that when the model code of conduct is in place, no government authority be it the CM or his ministers are allowed to use government facilities for even personal purposes.
“Use of video, tele-conference facilities owned by the state are also prohibited. If any state facility, be it a guest house or meeting halls are to be allowed for usage, they should be equally allotted to all the political parties without any discrimination", he added.
This comes just two days after Naidu took an exception to EC and questioned their intentions. "Why there are restrictions only on Andhra Pradesh"? Naidu asked adding that the poll body must work for the nation and not Modi.
Meanwhile this letter by Vijaysai Reddy is the second complaint to EC this week. Earlier the poll body had informed Naidu that he cannot hold review meetings as long as the model code of conduct was in place.
