Sattenapally Police booked case against Speaker Kodela Shivaprasada Rao for booth capturing on polling day in Andhra Pradesh. YCP Supremo Jagan and his party contestant from Sattenapally are alleging since the date of polling that Kodela captured the booth for more than an hour and rued inaction of police on him. In turn, Kodela displayed himself and a follower with a torn shirt and blood on media and stayed put in his car to display for media.
This further enraged YCP cadre as they claimed that Kodelas followers manhandled people who questioned the booth capturing of the speaker. Enraged by the questioning of people and thinking them as the activists of YCP, TDP supporters entered into a fight with YCP activists defending the voters, says Jagan and Ambati Rambabu, the contestant from Sattenapally.
The YCP leaders under the leadership of Jagan met the Governor on Tuesday and complained about police inaction on Kodela Shivaprasada Rao. They addressed a media gathering after their meeting with ESL Narasimhan.
Taking into consideration the publicity attracted by inaction, AP police booked booth capturing case and named Kodela as accused number 3.
