A dull Sunday for politics in AP suddenly took a great turn when TDP MP Kesineni Srinivasa Rao (Nani) and MLC Buddha Venkanna in a public display of aggression took to Twitter to lash out at each other.
It all started when reports started coming out that Vijayawada TDP President and MLC Buddha Venkanna had met YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy recently in Hyderabad. Responding to the news, Nani took to Twitter and tweeted that "till yesterday he was at Naidu's feet and from tomorrow he will be at Vijayasai Reddy's feet."
Responding to this, Venkanna tweeted, " Chandrababu Naidu requires soldiers who fight until their last breath but not opportunists," referring to Nani. The duo went on to bring up each other's past and threw vicious comments at each other.
Buddha Venkanna alleged that Nani had 'backstabbed' actor-politician Chiranjeevi who had given him a Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) ticket. Nani then indirectly accused Venkanna of being a 'sex racketeer', 'broker' and lobbyist. The topic of Nani's 88-year-old Kersineni Travels too didn't go untouched and Venkanna questioned Nani about his integrity and honesty regarding the allegations of fraud and corruption over his travels.
This public spat couldn't have come in at a worse time for TDP who already is losing on its strong ground it built in the state in the last 5 years. Leader of opposition and former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is said to have taken note of this situation and reprimanded the two leaders.
