Now, TDP office served a notice

YSRCP government has issued a show cause notice to the Telugu Desam Party over the construction of its office building in Visakhapatnam. This comes in just days after Praja Vedika was demolished and a similar notice was served to Chandrababu Naidu over his residence in Undavalli.

The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) said that the present Telugu Desam Party office building in the 7 hills area was 'unauthorised' and 'illegal'. A notice served said that the building will be demolished if a satisfactory response is not received by the municipal body in 7 days.

GVMC's town planning department pointed out that the party building was constructed without taking appropriate permissions and submission of relevant documents. TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu's home was the centre of a huge controversy last week.

A notice was served in the name of Lingamaneni Ramesh, who is the owner of the riverside property. Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) and the YSRCP government had alleged that the construction was illegal as it was constructed within 100 metres of the river bank which was in violation of River Protection Act and various Environment Protection laws. Naidu meanwhile chose not to contest the claim and will be moving out to a suitable location.
