Leader of opposition and president of TDP, Nara Chandrababu Naidu in a letter addressed to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister alleged of a paper leak in the village secretariat's recruitment exam and demanded the state public service exams to be conducted again. Naidu also pointed out that the ruling YSRCP was behind the paper leak to ensure their supporters get the job and demanded the CM's resignation along with conducting exams again.
“In United States, there were many entrance exams and job qualification exam; lakhs of job selections took place. But it is sad to see the execution of entrance exams of Village Secretariat with flaws, mistakes, and corruption that never happened in the past,” the letter said.
"You have announced the completion of the procedure in 56 days in the haste manner but you have left out how many malpractices have taken place, and how badly exams were conducted," Naidu added, criticising the government for conducting the exams in a sloppy manner.
Meanwhile, a video in which YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy admitted that 90% of party supporters were successful in the exams gave further credibility to the opposition's accusations and Naidu also cited the video in his letter.
Naidu also added that this has been a regular sight in the state for the last four months as the government had indulged in severe favouritism and political vendetta which was unhealthy for the state.
