Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday reiterated that he shall consider the Manifesto of YSRCP released during the run-up for general elections as Bhagavadgita, Bible and Quran.
He criticised the former CM Chandrababu Naidu for giving just Rs. 1,000 per month as an old age pension and increased that to Rs. 2,250/- and signed the file on the dais. He announced that the pension would be increased by Rs. 250 per year until it reaches Rs. 3,000 per month.
He promised that his government will start filling four lakhs village volunteer jobs from August this year. The volunteers will get a salary of Rs. 5,000 per month. Each volunteer will be assigned 50 households to assist the people in getting government schemes. He asked them to work without taking bribes while taking the benefits of government schemes to the people.
He announced a call centre in CMO to which people can call and complain about bribe allegations if any.
He promised to give ten government jobs in each village secretariat. From October 2nd this year, the government will start filling 1,60,000 vacant government jobs.
He assured that the applications for the schemes that are part of Navaratnas will be decided in 72 hours. He asked the people to apply in village secretariat for the schemes that are part of 'Navratnas'(the nine promises he made about the welfare schemes of his government). He reiterated his promise of door delivery of the benefits he announced as part of 'Navaratnas',
He promised the people a novel rule from his government with zero corruption and with no discrimination against anybody on the basis of caste, region and religion. He said that he will cleanse the administration to give the people of AP a rule that sees corruption with contempt.
He further promised to bring reverse tendering process, which as per his view is capable of necking out the corruption. He told the gathering that reverse tendering process will allow increasing the number of contractors who participate in the tendering process. He further explained that his government will assure transparency in awarding contracts.
He announced a judicial commission headed by a high court judge to peruse the tenders before awarding the contracts.
He promised the reforms in the energy sector that can reduce the power tariff.
He vented his ire on the media that the organisations are only comfortable with seeing only Chandrababu Naidu as CM. He warned them of defamation cases if they criticise his government unnecessarily.
Later he felicitated DMK president MK Stalin and Telangana CM KCR and hugged the latter on the dais.
