YSRCP's Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy has filed a complaint over objectionable posts on social media against him and alleged that certain Facebook pages affiliated to TDP are making death threats against him.

Reddy, who defeated former IT & Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh said that 'derogatory messages' were being posted against him and Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, and sought protection from the police, stating that there was a threat to his life.

He also demanded strict action against the culprits. Alla Ramakrishna Reddy pointed out to the police that one Nani Chowdary was the main accused along with a page titled 'Lokesh Army', as he claimed that they frequently threatened to kill him, in their social media posts.

A case has been registered under 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc), 505(1)(b) (Statements conducing public mischief) of IPC and relevant sections of the Information Technology (IT) Act.

Ramakrishna who actively protested against illegal constructions in the Amaravati region was one of the leading names who demanded the demolition of 'Praja Vedika' which raised quite a political storm.
