Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is planning to move a privilege motion against Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy accusing him of lying on the assembly floor during the ongoing budget session of AP assembly.
TDP was referring to the statement from Jagan where he speaking on the ongoing drough stituation in Andhra Pradesh said that Chandrababu Naidu's government hadn't released even single rupee for farmers through interest free loans. This triggered massive uproar from the TDP who MLAs who later accused the YSRCP of running away from the debate before TDP could furnish the details on the topic.
"Jagan and his team are only focused on humiliating the opposition instead of learning the nuances of running the government. We will move a privilege motion against Jagan Mohan Reddy," said leader of opposition Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu also demanded an apology from Jagan on this matter and said that the CM must apologise to TDP as well as the people of Andhra Pradesh for blatantly lying in assembly.
The TDP chief also pointed out to the incidents of violence being reported across the state. Last week, the TDP launched a toll-free number, in what it dubbed as a bid to 'safeguard' party workers and supporters who were allegedly being attacked by the YSRCP, across the state
