AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu lashed out YSRCP President YS Jagan and his sister Y Sharmila for their recent statement on state police.

Advising the main opposition party leaders to behave in a responsible manner, Naidu questioned, "How will you remain citizens of the state if you don't trust the state police? In that case, how can you contest the elections here?"

Naidu was responding to YS Sharmila's recent statements where while lodging a complaint in Hyderabad on defamatory posts in social media she said that the TDP was responsible for the posts and that she doesn't trust AP police to carry out a fair investigation on the same. Earlier last month,Jaganmohan reddy too expressed similar stentiments where he said that the AP police was not carrying out investigations on attack on him in a fair manner.

Condemning the allegations made by Sharmila, Naidu said that the TDP has never indulged in personal attacks or character assasination on anyone. Naidu added that the state would challenge centre's move to shift the probe on Jagan's attack to NIA in court.

"The Centre is trying to take away the state's rights. We will not allow this. We will fight for our rights. Can you go to another country and demand inquiry into an incident which happened in India?" asked Naidu alleging that YSRCP along with PM Modi and KCR were trying to bring damage to the state.
