Government spent Rs. 60,000 cr without budgetary sanctions, says Botsa

Visakhapatnam: YSRCP senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana on Monday levelled serious allegations on Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu saying that his government spent Rs. 60,000 cr without budgetary sanctions. He seems to be talking in support of Chief Secretary LV Subramanyam and said that the bureaucrat was looking into the details of financial allocations, but TDP ministers are objecting.

Botsa questioned the statement of Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu that CS has no right to question the decisions of the cabinet/government. Botsa alleged that Yanamala was trying to defend the decision made by CM Naidu on the name of the government. He also criticised the decision of the AP government taking loans to the tune of Rs. 2 lac cr in its tenure.

The news about CS objecting to paying bills and refusal to take a loan is making rounds in media, but the latest of the Botsa talk is about Rs. 60,000 cr expenditure without budgetary sanctions comes in the backdrop of CM Naidu's comments on the negative effect of model code of conduct on administration.
