K Dhanunjaya Reddy, hitherto Managing Director of Tourism Development Corporation was appointed as additional secretary in Chief Minister's Office of Andhra Pradesh. Chief Secretary LV Subramanyam issued orders on Friday regarding his appointment. 

During YSR's regime, Dhanunjaya Reddy additional commissioner of GHMC and CEO of Rajiv Arogya Sri. After the bifurcation, he was posted as the director in the Agriculture Department and disaster management. He worked as Srikakulam district collector also. While working as disaster management, he took responsibilities of works regarding Godavari Pushkarams. His efforts earned accolades then.

The officer had the reputation of getting works done whatever responsibility he was assigned. He is recognised for his hard work. He hails from Rayachoti of YSR Cuddapah district and has good relations with YSR's family. As he has a good name as an efficient officer, Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy picked him as additional secretary in his office. 

After Jagan took oath as CM, Dhanunjaya Reddy was the first man to get an appointment. 

Dhanunjaya Reddy has experience as a politician also. He was elected as Sarpanch of Chennamukkapalle in 1988. In 1992, he went to central services after resigning for the post of Sarpanch. 

During TDP regime too, his stint in various department marked with completion of projects and he had earned his name in that aspect. He moves freely with people too. 

Even before Jagan took oath as CM, he picked Dhanunjaya Reddy for the post and he was seen assisting Jagan while meeting several officers and politicians.
