Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu has requested the state government to allocate the Praja Vedika as annexe to his official residence. He wrote a letter to the AP government addressed to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
In the letter, Chandrababu mentioned that the Praja Vedika was called as "CM residence annexe", due to less open space in his house adjacent to the facility. He informed the government that he has decided to stay in the same private house even after demitting the CM's office as per the terms and conditions with its owner. Consequently, Chandrababu asked the government to allocate the facility as the annexe to his official residence so that he can discharge his duties as the leader of the opposition.
To continue using Praja Vedika even after demitting the office, Chandrababu asked the government to designate it as annexe to his residence. Then it would be "Residence annexe of Opposition Leader" so that he could meet legislators, the general public and other visitors from there. He mentioned his official duties as the leader of the opposition as well as the president of Telugu Desam party and requested the government to declare it as the residence annexe of the leader of opposition of Andhra Pradesh.
