Andhra Pradesh cabinet met on Tuesday after it got permission from Election Commission on Monday, late in the evening.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed on effects of Fani cyclone, drinking water shortage, payments to employment guarantee scheme and drought conditions prevailing in Andhra Pradesh.
All the Ministers except Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Labour Minister Pitani Satyanarayana, Mines Minister Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao and Farooq attended the meeting.
Talking to reporters after the cabinet meeting, Agriculture minister S Chandramohan Reddy informed the reporters that the state government decided to send proposals to centre about the compensation for the loss of crop in 1.47 lakh hectares. He said that CM reviewed the loss due to Cyclone Fani in Vijayanagaram and Srikakulam districts. Responding to a question about TDP government's tussle with the official machinery, Chandramohan Reddy said they are fine with the officers and they have no differences with them.
Just before the start of the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Naidu exchanged pleasantries with Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam. The meet ended in three hours and CM Naidu directed the officials to take measures to send the proposals to the centre regarding compensation to farmers and financial help for drought conditions.
