Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy will be holding his first Cabinet meeting at the state secretariat at 10:30 AM today.
Chief Secretary LV Subhramanyam issued a note on Sunday notifying about the cabinet meeting. A total of eight subjects have been included in the agenda which mainly focusses on farmers, women, and employment. Issues such as measures to be taken for Kharif season, Asha workers wages, Interim Relief (IR) of 27% of state government employees are expected to be brought up.
The Chief Minister has already announced that the salaries of Asha workers will be increased to Rs 10,000 from Rs 3,000 and even signed on the relevant file on Saturday. This move which will benefit 42,000 workers across the state is expected to be approved by the cabinet today.
Additionally, the merger of RTC and salary increase of sanitation workers along with the Rythu Bharosa scheme which is set to begin in October is also expected to be discussed.
