Several senior officers in Andhra Pradesh are making a beeline to Jagan as the Chief Minister-designate returned to his Tadepalli home from New Delhi on Monday morning. Sources say that Jagan and his close associates are in the work of deciding the team of officers who have to work closely with the new CM.
Stephen Ravindra, Inspector General of Police of Hyderabad Range met Jaganmohan Reddy today. The meeting assumed significance as the officer's name is doing rounds for the appointment as chief of the intelligence department.
The name of CSR Anjaneyulu, another IPS officer who returned to AP cadre from central government is also doing rounds for the same post. Whomever may Jagan choose for the post of Intelligence Chief, both the officers are set to get significant placements in Jagan's dispensation.
The return of CSR Anjaneyulu to AP cadre and the meeting of Stephen Ravindra with Jaganmohan Reddy indicate the pace of the things being done to form a team to assist the new Chief Minister.
As it seems the continuation of the present Chief Secretary LV Subramanyam is evident, Jagan is meeting other IAS officers also to have the team in CMO and to head different departments as Secretaries to government.
Dhanunjaya Reddy has been seen assisting Jagan in meeting the officials, but the IAS officers who will be the part of the Jagan's core team after he assumes office are yet to come out.
Insiders say that Jagan already finalised the name of Gautam Savang for the post of DGP and is in no mood to continue Thakur in that place. Savang is currently DG of Vigilance and Enforcement department met Jagan, a while after Stephen Ravindra met him.
Alongside these officers, several senior IAS officers; Krishna Babu, Vara Prasad, Sandhya Rani, Lakshmi Kantham, Satyanarayana, Sanjay, Jawahar Reddy, Arunkumar, Shashibhushan Kumar met Jagan as part of a courtesy visit to the CM designate. Collectors Pradyumna, K Bhaskar, Kartikeya Mishra too met Jagan.
