Will the Ajay sentiment yield result for Mahesh Babu again?

It is official, Mahesh Babu's character will be called Ajay Krishna in his upcoming movie 'Sarileru Neekevvaru'. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, who is coming fresh out of success with 'F2', 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' is touted to be a comedy drama which will star Mahesh in an army officer's role.

The name Ajay carries a special sentiment for Mahesh Babu, as his character in both 'Dookudu', as well as 'Okkadu', was called the same. While it was Gunashekhar's 'Okkadu' which put Mahesh in the big league and was his breakthrough movie which got him huge stardom, It was 'Dookudu' which got Mahesh a much needed hit and turned out to be Mahesh's highest grossing movie ever.

It is being speculated that Mahesh will play the part of army officer only in the beginning of the movie and the rest of the story will revolve around Mahesh as a civilian. Presently, scenes involving Mahesh as an army officer are being shot in Jammu & Kashmir. The movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Vijayashanti in important roles. Mahesh, who is coming fresh out of massive success of 'Maharshi' has pinned high hopes from this movie as well. With such a positive buzz going on about the movie, it will be interesting to see if 'Ajay' sentiment works out this time as well.
